How it works

From order to pickup, no lost paper

  1. 1

    Take the order

At the counter or by phone, add items with a note per item if needed: “no onions”, “well done”.

  2. 2

    Print the kitchen ticket

Name, phone, pickup time: the ticket prints with a large order number, readable from across the kitchen.

  3. 3

    Track preparation

The order list shows what’s being prepared and what’s ready. One tap to change the status.

  4. 4

    Take payment on pickup

The customer pays in cash, by card or by QR code when collecting, or has already paid when ordering.

Kitchen ticket

A ticket the kitchen reads at a glance

Order number, pickup time, items and notes stand out. It prints on the counter printer or on a dedicated kitchen printer.

Tracking

The Friday night rush under control

The counter shows orders in progress, the list updates itself and the customer’s number is one tap away if an order runs late.

Mobile

On your phone too

Take orders or follow the kitchen from a smartphone or tablet, nothing to install: everything syncs with the till.

Tables for eating in?

If your chip shop serves meals eaten on site for more than €25,000 excl. VAT per year, Belgian law requires a certified cash register (SCE/GKS). Kassavera is not certified yet: today it suits chip shops and snack bars that sell takeaway or stay below that threshold.

FAQ

Chip shop POS: your questions

Does my chip shop need a “black box” cash register?

Only if you serve meals eaten on site for more than €25,000 excl. VAT per year. A chip shop selling takeaway only is not concerned. If in doubt, ask your accountant.

Can the kitchen ticket print in the kitchen and the receipt at the counter?

Yes. The kitchen ticket can print on a dedicated kitchen printer and the customer receipt on the counter printer. They are standard network printers.

Can I take orders by phone?

Yes: note the name, number and pickup time, the ticket goes to the kitchen and the order waits for the customer, who pays on pickup.
